• CPR certification required.

• Create and develop clinically-based activities for Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) clients of all programs.

Specific Areas of Responsibility to Position:

• Completes psychosocial intake on clients within appropriate timeframe.
• Completes the master treatment plan within appropriate timeframe.
• Counsel clients or patients, individually or in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making change.
• Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments or develop treatment plans.
• De-escalates ACA and other patient problems.
• Conducts and documents a daily group for all patients. Provides group on topics to include reviewing the orientation manual, schedule, medication times and procedures for requesting to see the Medical Doctor or Nurse Practitioner. Provides other groups that include education groups focused on the disease process and the need for continued treatment. Documents all groups in the patient medical record as well as documents patients that do not attend groups for medical reasons.
• Assist patients with appropriate services to coordinate care with patient’s treatment needs, including, but not limited to; phone calls, presence in treatment letters, faxing of documentation, coordination with appropriate entities, as necessary, etc.
• Documents all activities in the patient medical record and files all notes in the charts daily for UR purposes.
• Maintains inventory of Mental Health and AA/NA literature and patient orientation manual with distribution to all patients.
• Counsel family members to assist them in understanding dealing with, or supporting clients.
• Attends daily staff meetings to enhance communication with clinical staff regarding program and patient issues.
• Participate in required staff training (minimum 20 hours).
• Complete all assigned paperwork in a neat, accurate and timely manner.
• Complete incident reports according to policy in a timely, accurate manner.
• Communicate with other staff as necessary to promote quality patient care.
• Participate in maintaining clean, properly supplied, and efficient work areas.
• Observe and report safety and maintenance problems.
• Interact appropriately with patients, showing them respect while maintaining boundaries.
• Always maintain professional demeanor.
• Exercise sound professional judgment and seek assistance as necessary to effectively manage patient behavior.

• Obtain certification for Behavioral Health Technician through the state of Tennessee within the first 18 months of employment.

• Attend all Time Wellness staff meetings and attend all mandatory In-services.
• Provide a safe therapeutic environment for clients and staff.
• Provides supervision of self-administered medications.
• Oversee implementation of daily/weekly structure for community housing clients as developed by director of housing.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with Time Wellness staff and consumers alike.
• Reports personal symptoms of suspected illness or contagious diseases to director.
• Monitor and observe client’s behavior with documentation and count and keep track of all clients with documentation.
• End of shift reporting to director via email.
• Answer calls on company phone while on shift.
• Report any medical emergencies, elopements, or ACA incidents to director immediately.
• Transport clients to outside activities, food shopping, 12 step support groups, appointments, to and from airports and other facilities, using company van.
• Orientates new clients to the facility and the residential facility. Completing a complete housing intake packet and ensuring all documents are signed.
• Search new admissions belongings to ensure no contraband is brought into facility, and all valuables and medications are secured.
• Preparing residential apartments for new clients, ensuring cleanliness.
• To request and report any supplies needed at facility and residential facility to director.
• Ensure that all apartments are kept clean and cleaning when necessary.
• Follow ethical guidelines in accordance with the state of Tennessee.
• Always keeping tech offices in a clean and neat order.
• Provide safety checks at apartments and reporting any risks to director.
• Provide “random” searches at residential checking for contraband.
• Monitor transitional living residential client’s curfews and they are abiding to rules.
• Trained and confident in taking blood pressure, hand washing and medication observation.
• Performs other duties assigned.
